Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery is a five-year undergraduate academic, which offers knowledge about homoeopathic medicines and systems. Within the period of 5.5 years, it is mandatory for students to undertake internships at hospitals.
The homoeopathic system of medicine is very different from the allopathy system and strongly believes in the natural healing process of the body. The Homeopathy medicines work in such a way that they activate the body's natural system of healing, as per them the healing happens from within (internally) and not externally.
The system of medicine is gaining a lot of popularity worldwide as these medicines are in a much-diluted form and are made from the natural products found in the lap of nature. The course involves various practical sessions and readings of the homoeopathic text so that students can understand the origin of this system of medicine and how it benefits the human body over other systems of medicines and healthcare,
The eligibility criteria for the BHMS course are mentioned below.
• Minimum Qualification required: Passed in 10+2 in science stream with Biology, Chemistry, Physics as their main subject in high school.
• Minimum Marks Required (Aggregate): 50% to 60
