Master of Physical Education is a two-year postgraduate program that offers knowledge about sports psychology, sports research methodology, sports medicines, physical injuries in sports and their exercises, computer application in physical education and exercise psychology.
The main aim of the course is to acquaint students with the dynamics of sports activities and to help them understand physical activities related to sports. Since it is a master’s level program. It provides students with professional training and knowledge about fitness in sports and enables them to enhance their skills and abilities in their respective fields.
Candidates are also trained to understand the theories and expertise of physical education and gain in-depth knowledge about fitness, physical training, therapy and consultation.
• Minimum Qualification required: Candidates must have a B.P. Ed (1year)/ B.Sc in Health & Physical Education 3 years.
• Minimum Marks Required: 50% to 60%
• Admission to the M.P. Ed. course is based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam.
• Few colleges also offer direct admissions based on merit/cut off lists.
• Some of the popular entrance exams for M.P. Ed course are: DU Entrance Examination, Amity Entrance Examination etc.
